Position
Purpose:
The Lebanon, Kentucky plant’s Quality Manager must
demonstrate effective leadership behaviors that inspire and motivate others to
meet the challenging demands of a continuous improvement environment.

The
successful Quality Manager will have a vision to effectively set the
department’s direction and growth.
·
Set
specific goals and focus resources to achieve the plant’s overall objectives.
·
Observe
and listen to employees, direct reports and staff members sharing information
in a manner that is beneficial for all.
·
Exhibit an
effective personal style that sets an overall tone of integrity, competence,
inspiration and optimism.
·
Lead staff
with multiple skill levels, work demands and decision-making capabilities.
· Manage, lead, mentor and motivate a quality staff of 6-8 people.
Essential
Functions:
·
Develops Quality Department Functions, goals, Quality
Management Systems (IATF 9001- 2016) Quality objectives and continuous
improvement activities as part of the Hendrickson overall strategic plan.
·
Maintain and improve customer satisfaction through
customer focus, corrective/preventive actions, advanced product quality
planning (APQP) and continuous improvement.
·
Utilize statistical tools for problem solving and
continuous improvement in a lean manufacturing environment.
·
Review product specifications to present/recommended
plant capabilities and make specification revisions as necessary.
·
Establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of
finished product.
·
Maintains
Kentucky Quality Project Management actions for corporate and the plant to meet
organizational objectives.
·
Develops and Interprets quality control philosophy to
key personnel in organization.
·
Develop a cost-effective quality management system that
minimizes Quality risks to the customer, maximize product reliability and
minimize costs.
·
Direct Quality, Engineering and Production Personnel to
develop inspection activities for product throughout production cycle.
·
Applies total quality management tools and approaches to
analytical and reporting processes within each department.
·
Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing
activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and
products (CMM, Faro Arm, etc.)
·
Lead Plant efforts in Supplier Quality Assurance and
provide input/criteria for supplier sourcing.
·
Plays active role on quality management teams within
organization.
·
Implements and improves upon documented departmental QOS
efforts.
·
Designs and implements quality control training programs
to key personnel in conjunction with managers.
·
Respond to customer complaints by directing containment,
root cause investigations, corrective action and follow up and resolution with
the customer.
·
Acts as plant Management Representative for IATF
9001-2016
· Understand lean manufacturing and Kaizen
Education
and Training
·
Bachelor’s degree and five years’
experience as Quality Manager
·
American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification as a
Certified Quality Manager (CQM) preferred
·
Six Sigma desired
Minimum Qualifications
· Experience in all areas of IATF 9001-2016 standards.
Sound background in problem solving preferably 8D discipline with practical application required.
Sound background in statistical process control, theory and application required, GD&T.
Fabrication background experience is helpful.
