Area of Accountability:
Provide support to the Controls Business Unit machining center by producing a quality product in the safest way possible. Work as an effective team member with other Machining Associates as well as the assembly and other departments to meet daily production needs. Be a reliable employee of the Controls Business Unit by exceeding the standards in work ethic, attendance quality and safety.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Operate CNC machining center.
2. Troubleshoot minor machine issues, as needed.
3. Ability to perform quality checks using calibrated digital micrometers, Digital Calipers, and go/no go gauges to ensure product is within tolerance.
4. Read and understand the reading of Blue Prints in order to effectively operate machine to meet product specifications.
5. Proper paperwork/reports are to be completed to document build per work order specifications.
6. Comply with all safety standards and regulations.
• High School diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited school
• Associates degree or CNC certificate preferred
• CNC Machining experience
• Basic Blue Print reading
• Basic understanding of gauges and micrometers
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Intranet, etc.)
• Superior Mathematical skills are a must
• Self-starter, conscientious, enthusiastic with a positive attitude
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, in a continuously improving environment
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to pay close attention to minor details resulting in the production of a superior quality product
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
