Area of Accountability:
Ability to operate equipment, conduct required quality checks and interpreting production work orders are essential to this job.
Major Responsibilities:
· Operate production machines and equipment following accepted practices.
· Must be able to operate material handling equipment, such as, overhead hoists and cranes.
· Apply paint to suspension parts using spray gun.
· Perform minor maintenance on machines and equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, adjustments and minor maintenance checks.
· Make machine set-ups as requested.
· Must be able to use a Bill of Materials to build units using proper materials and parts.
· Accurately report daily activities on work orders, Kanban cards and other media required.
· Meet established production standards.
· Must understand how to interpret and use production work orders.
· Conduct required quality checks using basic measurement equipment.
· Collect and properly store waste paint and solvents according to established procedure in secure storage areas.
· Exercise safe working habits while operating machines. Keep machine and work areas clean and free of safety hazards.
· Comply with the Quality Management System.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED.
· Must be able to physically lift 65 lbs.
· Must be able to wear a respirator.
· Must be able to read and write legibly.
· Ability to work in a team environment.
· Ability to read and understand blueprints with geometric tolerancing.
